The Diaper Bank is seeking a full time Executive Director. The position will be opened until filled, however we will begin committee review the week of February 13th.  

 

Job Title: Executive Director

Job Classification: Exempt Position

Salary: $55,000-65,000

Responsible to: Board of Directors

Job Summary: The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for overall operations, expense management, fundraising, event organization, marketing/public relations, organizational development, and risk management for the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona. The ED is responsible for carrying out Board-approved goals and objectives; overseeing the work of the staff and volunteers; and for operating the organization within the approved budget.

Organization Mission: Diapers for children and adults through community partners.


Responsibilities and Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

 

·         Develop and grow financial resources to meet service delivery and organizational development goals.

·         Promote collaboration & strategic partnerships within southern Arizona among local businesses, government, social service and faith-based organizations.

·         Coordinate and lead communications to maximize the Diaper Bank’s presence and relevance in the community, including community awareness; and production, distribution, and maintenance of the organization’s full range of print and electronic materials.

·         Manage for high performance with a platform for year-on-year organizational growth to build a talent-rich, performance-oriented organization.

·         Direct all aspects of efficient and strategic operations while overseeing effective day-to-day financial and organizational operations, including warehouse space and special events.

·         Promote effective board relations and governance.

 

Education and Experience

·         B.A. or B.S. required

·         Five years experience in senior level management in a nonprofit organization, with responsibility for planning, fiscal controls, revenue generation and community relations or related experience.

 

Qualifications and Skills Required

·         Passion for the vision, mission and values of the Diaper Bank

·         Proven and successful fundraising experience, including obtaining grants and securing significant gifts from individuals, organizations and others.

·         Ability to develop strategic fundraising plans, direct and coordinate activities; negotiate and administer contracts; collaborate with government agencies, community groups and other organizations as necessary. Exercise independent judgment in the development, implementation and evaluation of plans, procedures and policies.

·         Excellent public speaking and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills, including negotiating, coaching, consulting, influencing others and social media skills. 

·         Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quick Books and familiarity of fundraising software.

·         Demonstrated experience in building vision, collaboration, and performance among diverse constituencies and ability to excel in a team collaborative environment. Ability to motivate employees and volunteers with a commitment to inclusiveness and an ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including community leaders and organizations.

·         Able to travel as required in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position and promoting the visibility of the organization and its mission; personal transportation a must.

·    Valid AZ Driver's License.

·    Able to lift 25 pounds and stand for significant periods of time.
