Diaper bank 'nearly empty,' issues appeal
Reprinted from the Tucson Citizen, August 25, 2006

The Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank needs diapers for disabled people, the elderly and babies.

Cheryl Smith, executive director of the diaper bank, said donations may be made at eegee's restaurants through the end of this month.

Also, donations may be made by contacting the Diaper Bank at 325-1400 or by mail at 3820 E. Bellevue Ave., Tucson 85716.

Smith said the disabled and the elderly who need diapers can't leave their homes without them. Parents of babies and children in diapers must provide diapers when they take their children to day care centers.

Smith said the diaper bank's warehouse is "nearly empty."
