Critical Need! Sizes 4, 5 and 6
Thanks to many generous donations the Diaper Bank has been able to meet the requested monthly needs of our partner agencies for diaper sizes 1, 2, 3 and adult incontinence products.
However, we have a severe shortage of the following sizes (unable to meet requests): newborn, sizes 4, 5, 6 and training paints.
Next time you're in the grocery or drug store, stop by the diaper aisle. Take a look at the cost of one package of diapers. Whew! Expensive, huh? Then drop a package of diapers into your shopping cart so you can donate it to the Diaper Bank.

19TH ANNUAL MIX-FM BABY FAIR

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at the 19th Annual MIX-FM Baby Fair on August 16th at the Tucson Community Center. A special thanks goes to Bobby Rich and the whole MIX-FM gang for their support. The Daddy Diaper Olympics was - let's just say competitive doesn't even begin to describe it! Dads competed in varoius heats with (fake) baby in stroller to undress, change, redress and dash across the finish line in order to win a $50 gas card. It was a great competition, guys, and you're all winners in our book! The kids loved our bubble machine at the booth, and we talked to a lot of people about just what the Diaper Bank is all about.

Shop & Give Program If you shop at Bashas' you could donate to the Diaper Bank with every grocery bag you fill! Bashas’ Shop & Give, formerly our “Thanks a Million” Program, begins Sept. 1, 2008. Customers can shop for groceries as usual, and Bashas’ will give 1% of their shopping dollars to the local school, church or nonprofit of their choice.
Each participating school, church or nonprofit is assigned a 5-digit group identification number. The Diaper Bank's number is: 24926 When Bashas' customers link the group ID number to their Thank You Card during the program dates, a portion of every Thank You Card purchase is set aside for that group. After March 31, Bashas' will donate 1% of the total sales linked to each group's ID number. The Diaper Bank can earn up to a $5,000 donation - with your help! Click HERE for more info.
THE NUMBERS 15 Number of years since the Diaper Bank started. 47,100 Number of children who received diapers from our partner agencies last year. 1,434 Number of elderly who received briefs from our partner agencies last year. 5,481,000 Estimated diapers distributed since the Diaper Bank started (and counting!) 1,250,000 This is the number of diapers we need this year to fill all requests by our partner agencies! (That's about $5,000 worth of diapers each week.)
