The Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona has been selected as a Regional Partner of the National Diaper Bank Network to receive and distribute two million diapers to the community over the next two years.

Nineteen years ago, Tucson was home to the nation’s first diaper bank: the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona. Our mission is diapers for children and adults through community partners. Through a network of more than 40 partner agencies, we distribute almost 600,000 diapers each year. However, we receive requests for 1.5 million diapers.

This exciting regional partnership opportunity means, for the first time in almost 20 years, we will be able to meet the diaper need. This is an astonishing opportunity which will directly help those most vulnerable in our community.

A large, guaranteed supply of diapers over these two years will allow us to concentrate on infrastructure, development, and other organizational priorities leading to sustainability of these numbers as a goal after conclusion of the program.  As a Regional Partner, we also continue our responsibility for helping smaller diaper banks in the region and state.

The Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona’s vision is a community where every diaper need is met. Our local model has impacted other communities, as there are now more than 150 diaper bank programs across the country today. Thank you to the National Diaper Bank Network for its support!

How can you get involved?

  • We are accepting new agency applications in Southern Arizona counties. If your organization’s clients need diapers, please contact us.
  • Host a diaper drive at your business, school, church, or organization. Our regional partnership program provides infant and children’s diapers, but we still need community support to meet 100% of the need, including for incontinence supplies for adults and seniors.
  • Donate to support the costs of this important Regional Partnership Program. The costs of this program include transportation of the diapers, warehouse and equipment rental for additional capacity, and staffing.

Thank you to our generous donors who are helping to cover the costs of this Regional Partnership:

  • The Connie Hillman Family Foundation
  • Fiesta Bowl Charities
